About this listen
The lands to the South are full of depraved women driven mad by forbidden sorcery. Now that sounds like fun for a barbarian from the Black Wolf Clan.
The barbarians of the frozen north live to fight, drink, hunt, and screw, and Ymir is a true son of the Ax Tundra, until a demon curses him with magic. Orphaned by battle and banished by his tribe, Ymir heads south to Old Ironbound, a university where the rich and well-connected learn to master magic. Will Ymir’s traditions and pride lead him to failure? Or will the centuries of knowledge — and the lusty human, elven, orcish, and dwarven noblewomen — give him limitless power?
Either way, while his days are all about studying and scheming, his nights are filled with wild sex in the beds of beautiful women. Because in the lands of the South, there are few men, and those Southern women have needs.
Disclaimer: Barbarian Outcast is a steamy slice-of-life harem adventure in a magic university on another world. The sex scenes are explicit but don’t get in the way of the story as it slowly unfolds. Enter a brand-new world from Aaron Crash, the best-selling author of the American Dragon series.

Tough guy surrounded by women
An easy to follow story about Ymir a Barbarian Outcast by his people for having magic. Stephanie performs very well as usual, giving a nice range of voices. Not having anywhere to go he enrols in the best magic academy to rid himself of his curse. The women in the area outnumber the men by 4 to 1. That and being the sole barbarian with magic ever recorded propels him into almost celebrity status, though not everyone is pleased.
Ymir is no ordinary Barbarian he is also the son of a clan chief. This gave him a good education, along with growing up in the frozen mountains, he is no slow witted man with a club.
Although cock sure, in both meanings, he doesn't just bed anything in sight. He has values and his clan ethics.
I am looking forward to book 2.

If Harry Potter was an arrogant barbarian…
The similarities were a bit too obvious. Very difficult to like the protagonist, whether it was the way the narrator portrayed his voice or the arrogant way he conducts himself in general, I couldn’t decide.
The description of body parts were a bit cringing…
Don’t think I’ll read the sequel, will probably just watch the second Harry Potter movie and use my imagination.
