Summary
When 26-year-old Reese accepts a position as a grad assistant, she has no idea an unpleasant encounter with a student will lead to the discovery of what she calls "the trifecta": fine, intellectual, and a little bit rude - three qualities she finds irresistible in a man. She has no intention of doing anything with that discovery - nothing long term, at least. But everybody knows what happens to best laid plans.
Jason is a grown man. Twenty-eight years old, seasoned, and scarred by his real-life experience in the world, he's at Blakewood State University to finish his degree and move on. The last thing he's interested in is the female population on campus...but sexy, infuriating Reese might be a notable exception.
This isn't a story of opposites attract.
More like counterparts clash.
Neither of them is afraid to do battle, and neither is willing to back down. Love and war, win or lose...somebody's gonna end up getting schooled.
Contains mature themes.

Super cute late 20’s matureish student romance (FMC 26/MMC 28). Grad student and mature undergrad love to hate and love each other.
Just over 5 hour read felt super short compared to my last few reads. Spice level was excellent not too much and fit perfectly with the rest of the novel.
I will instantly be reading the second book of this series.

Kind of enemies to lovers
This couple is so cute, their banter and battle of wit was entertaining, the spice when it finally happened was really hot, and I loved we get to see the beginning of some side characters’ relationship start up with strong possibilities….
She’s The professor’s daughter and ta. He is ex military and has a prosthetic leg. All characters are likeable (apart from a couple of them).
The narration was outstanding. Their voices were perfect co for he characters and their interpretation was spot on.

Lines crossed?
The story was not bad, and some of the dialogue was entertaining but I found the main female character childish and melodramatic.
Things maybe different in American universities but I’m pretty sure grad assistant having sexual relationships with students whose papers they’ll later mark is considered inappropriate
Even weirder for mother and daughter to date father and son

Cute
A very cute story. I would love to read it in a more longer, detailed story. Have a real love hate relationship blossom and get deeper into the relationships with the parents.
