Summary

Standing on the balcony, outside my boss's apartment, wearing only my underwear? Not how I expected to start my Saturday morning. I guess I should've thought harder about going home with my sexy new gym instructor, especially since I had no idea the guy was married.

When he pushed me outside five seconds before his wife walked through the door, I jumped one balcony over. I thought it would be less embarrassing for a total stranger to find me than his wife. That was a smart move.

So here I am, wearing next to nothing and freezing my ass off, staring through the living room window at my young, sexy, and very intimidating boss, Chase Winston. I have two choices: I can sit here and try to think of another way out of this and risk dying of hypothermia, or I can suck it up and knock on that window. After a long, internal argument with myself, I choose option two. Here goes nothing....

Contains mature themes.

Loved it 🥰

I loved this story. I wish we had lots of hunky gorgeous bosses when I was a Personal Assistant. I enjoyed the book and the narrators brought the story to life. Looking forward to the next book.

BRILLIANT!!

Chris and Elizabeth are my two favourite narrators, the way that they brought this story to life was absolutely brilliant.

I loved reading this story but listening to it was so much better its brought all the emotions to the surface, the bellyacing laughter this book had me in was wonderful.

1000% recommended

Good book

To be honest I didn’t like this book at first as both main characters annoyed me but eventually they settled down and I really did enjoy this book , I’m now definitely going to listen to another Missy Johnson book . Both narrators were excellent.

Started out great… 🤨

Ok so the major part of the book was great. Sweet characters and a sexy love story that had all the potential of an awesome listen. Great narration too!

Then all of a sudden I feel like it took a wrong turn somewhere and pretty much went to hell in a hand basket. Pardon my French… Without trying to give too much away I’ll try and explain closer. If you’re afraid of minor spoilers stop reading here.

First the mfc turned out to be totally immature. She couldn’t handle any rising issues with dignity and maturity which I felt contradicted her initial character development where she met things head on.

I thought “Ok so maybe it’ll just be this one thing” but then the story that was, up until the point of the mandatory big brouhaha, nicely written and well build just sped a long like a freight train heading for a cliff edge. Everything started to feel like it just had to end as quickly as possible. So no I’m a bit miffed. The previously mentioned brouhaha ended so fast with out any real resolve in my opinion that it kind of left med a bit stunned.

Then the whole book was wrapped up way too fast like a slap in the face with the mfc kind of starting to abuse the mmcs wealth and her starting to take advantage of that and him. I find it really tacky when expecting someone to just hand you their credit card so you can shop with it. Especially when you make your own money and are no where close to being a stay at home mom or wife or whatever. Just expecting someone to pay for you is not cool
In my book. This ruined the book for me entirely and also contradicted the mfcs initial character development and made me resent her as the lead. The mmc deserved better than that.

If you don’t mind these things or see them as that much of an issue as me I think you’re in for a treat but I personally was truly disappointed. The only thing keeping this book from a one star review was the great start and the amazing narration.
