the voice overs trying to imitate the male and female parts within either Hades or Persephones section... terrible. why couldn't they stick to reading each character.
It made my laugh tbh and they sounded very silly.

Engrossing, sexy af and so bloody good, definitely an easy to listen too set of narrators. Cant wait for her next book.

Very much enjoyed the constant nudge to the mythical world and the feel of magic without ever actually having the supernatural in it. Hades and Persephone is always a tale worth telling, retelling and re-imagining.

I wasnt ready for the erotic scenes and the swearing. Feels like lazy writing and took from the story more than added, won’t listen to the other books.

Narrators mimicking each other unnecessarily, when the woman was “hades” it was almost cringe-y and gross.

The voice actors do a good job with their own characters and narration but when it comes to putting on a voice for the opposite sex... Not good. The female actor's male voice is whispery, which took a little getting used to.

The male actor's female voices I can't get over. They are whining and childish, like he's mocking. If it wasn't a book with sex scenes or if he didn't continue that voice into the sex scenes I could deal with it but it's so bad I find myself wishing she didn't have speaking lines during those parts. If they had voiced their own lines throughout, it would have been great. Really annoying.

Beyond that, the premise is good but it falls flat on every other level. The gods are literally just humans with no powers or abilities which is such a strange decision. The characters themselves are OK, Hades falls a little flat as he's meant to be putting off 'god of the underworld' vibes and all he does is boss women around publicly in a kinky sex room. Is that all it takes? The plot is OK too. Not the best. The sex scenes are kinky, I think I would like them if it weren't for the voice acting. He's not really much of a dom though as she always disobeys and he doesn't really do anything but get angry or find it funny.

over hyped

I enjoyed this story although I found it a bit slow. However the narration was bizarre. A modern day Olympus where the inhabitants have regional British accents is really strange. The male actor did that whinny voice for women that men do to annoy and the female narrators interpretation of Hades accent was bizarre and a bit off putting. Don’t think I will stick with this series. Just not for me.

Loved my first taste of Greek mythology smut. Loved hades and Persephone.
Only thing that put me off a bit was when the voice actors imitated the others voice, ruined the serios scenes a bit.
