The widowed Duchess of Sailer has desires that are hard to fill in polite society. To that effect, she visits a brothel to have her bottom reddened. If word got out, her reputation would be ruined. Inspector Rupert McKinley expects to get in and out, and figure out who killed Lord Ethan. He doesn't care about Olivia's desires...until he starts to spend time with her, and realizes she's more interesting than he ever expected her to be. This story is interestingly refreshing with quite a bit of intrigue, suspense, action and mystery. You will also experience some seriously steamy sexy times, coloured with a little BDSM for added excitement. It is throughly entertaining. listening to it was emensely enjoyable.
It is nice to have a reminder of how things were in the pass, for people like Duchess Olivia and Inspector Rupert McKinley. These days they would have more feedom to make decisions about their private life, and they would also have much more technical to help in their investigation. The story is well written, the plot is brilliant, unpredictable and a definite MUST READ.
