Not your typical paranormal romance

This is an interesting story that blends reality with paranormal fantasy. This world has werewolves that serve a particular purpose in society that require them to be a part of the political framework. The story also involves the paranoia often found in society that includes something that people do not properly understand. The contrast is interesting. That said, while there are werewolves, the basis of the story involves a much more basic form of reality.

Ava Sparks is an assasin and she and her family targets werewolves. They are part of the resistance and their goal is to protect the human race. The story starts with her succeasfully shooting a senator but getting hit by a car in the attempt to escape the ensuing mass hysteria. She is saved by a mystery man and taken to the hospital.

Six months later that mystery man shows up on the top of her hit list and Ava's world slowly unravels at the seams. That which she thought was true turns out to be false and her entire existance is brought to question. All this happens while she falls for her mystery werewolf.

The idea of this book is interesting. The readers are guaranteed a HEA, sex, action, and so on, but there is a lot more to it. Over all, I enjoyed the story and would be curious about what happens next in the series.
