This was a sexy filled tale of Alpha domination. Great characters plenty of action and over whelming sexy scenes.

I absolutely agree with some of the reviewers saying this story was medieval in how men treated women in this supernatural world Delta James created as a background for this story. On the other hand though it was everything the blurb offered so no surprise at all. Both Rowan and Alaric were good and strong characters. Loyal to the pack and destined for each other. I liked very much this somewhat dystopian twist of the supernatural world. It gave some freshness to the story. Warlord has a satisfactory ending but I'd love to find out where the series is headed.

Jack Calihan's narration was superb. He used well distinguishable voices for both male and female characters. I loved his pace and clean spoken words. He was the perfect choice for this book.

Loved the narration of Jack Calihan

Rowan is a female Alpha who is a warrior with her pack supporting her. She is determined never to mate. Alaric has been sent by the all Male Ruling Council to oust Rowan and then take over her pack. Alaric discovers that Rowan is his lifetime mate which changes how he approaches the stronghold of Calon Onest.
We do have some scenes of spanking

This was a good story but I didn't like how Rowan the female Alpha a pack for five years was broken down and humiliated, then expect to be in love with the same person. I Enjoyed the story all the same, even though it was hard to like any of the men in this story.

He was a Pompous ass, but an Alpha and acted accordingly, she was also an Alpha but, was often, overbearing, simpering female, maybe it was a blessing Calon Onest was conquered.
Jacks narration was very much in character as a Warlord.

Jack really is perfect for these characters as a narrator. His gruff voice is swoon worthy. Written very well, this book balance’s consent very well. I loved it.

Okay this was a fun read for me, yes it has spankings and such but nothing that should you find bad. Alaric and Rowan , strong and stubborn! It’s very steamy and yes he’s dominating and sometimes seems too much but in the end you’ll see.
Jack Calihan ! One of my new favorite narrators, he has perfect voice for these characters.
All in all loved it.
I did receive a code for this and my review is honest.
On to the next in the series.
