Gail Jewel Hunte is a passionate animal advocate and children’s author from the UK and now based in Barbados. She has a YouTube channel called, Gail Jewel's Animal Hub and is known for her Barbados, seasonal radio show Animal Craze, where she interviews guests to raise awareness about animal welfare. Gail is also the editor-in-chief of Animal Talk Magazine (Barbados) and the creative force behind Gail Jewels Wildlife Totes and La Cat Connoisseur, two online boutiques for animal lovers.
Her children’s books blend fun and learning, encouraging kindness towards animals. She’s also written award-winning skits for adults with disabilities and received the Barbados National Cultural Foundations, Prime Minister's Certificate of Achievement for her empowering re-telling of Cinderella, where the heroine chooses education over royalty.
Gail is a trustee with an animal welfare charity, a pet mum, a sea lover, and a fan of dark chocolate. She’s not afraid of spiders and dreams of seeing one or maybe more of her books made into animation.
