I am passionate about raising awareness of the fragility of our eco-systems, the jungles, and mountains in particular. So thank you for supporting me and supporting Tyger. I am a graduate of the Creative Writing Program at Stanford University. I learned to write under the tutelage of Arturo Islas, John L’Heureux, Nancy Packer, and Ron Hansen. My life has taken me far and wide. Post graduation found me in the Northern Philippines as a volunteer among the aboriginal tribes. It was then off to Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Germany before returning to Hong Kong. This novella has its genesis in a trek in Eastern Nepal when we were tracked in a dense forest by a Bengal tiger. It was a terrifying three days. The nights were the worst as you could hear the tiger's roars echo down the valley.
