大学生の清水美空は、東京スカイツリーの近くにある葬儀場「坂東会館」でアルバイトをしている。坂東会館には、僧侶の里見と組んで、訳ありの葬儀ばかり担当する漆原という男性スタッフがいた。漆原は、美空に里見と同様の“ある能力”があることに目を付け、自分の担当する葬儀を手伝うよう命じる。漆原は美空をはじめとするスタッフには毒舌だが、亡くなった人と、遺族の思いを繋ごうと心を尽くす葬祭ディレクターだった。
