日本の小説家、劇作家。本名は岡本 敬二（おかもと けいじ）。
別号に狂綺堂、鬼菫、甲字楼など。新歌舞伎の作者として知られ、また著名な作品として小説「半七捕物帳」などがある。
養子の岡本経一は、出版社「青蛙房」の創業者で、社名は綺堂の作品「青蛙堂鬼談」に由来している。
