About this listen
Offering a “CliffsNotes guide” to some of the most important literary works of our time, Benjamin Wiker, author of 10 Books That Screwed Up the World, turns his discerning eye from the great texts that have done damage to Western civilization to the great texts that could help rebuild it.
This book features a range of works, from classics such as Democracy in America and The Federalist Papers to more popular classics like Sense and Sensibility and The Tempest. Through these works, Wiker reveals some of the most important lessons for our time, as well as the true meaning of conservatism. Written with an educational purpose and a witty tone, this is a must listen for conservatives, Republicans, and book lovers everywhere.

Great insight. Readers from England need a caveat.
This is a great book and provides synopses of other great books. if you are from England beware. England and America are two great nations separated by a common language . in England conservatism is a political party. in the book I think it's to do with "conserving". I think for us the conservatism Vs liberalism dichotomy is unhelpful as we use these words differently. Wiker even makes the mistake of quoting Thatcher at the end of the book, I think she was more popular in America. Please don't let that stop you reading it though. I almost think that there should be an edition of the book for English people where they've done a search and replace for both the words conservative and liberal, but not sure what replacement words to use.

NO CHAPTER HEADINGS AGAIN
sick and tired of Audible churning out products that haven't been catalogued and tailored to the customer.
how are you supposed to know what books are included?
