Great, but need to have chapters and book titels

It would be great if they let you know which parts of the book you where on.

hard work, but good performance and great prose

tedious and hard work, and very much a reworking of others works. I wont listen again, and wouldn't recommend it

Some absolute banger classics - and some not so much needed any more

If I really wanted to listen to various examples of outdated, now offensive literature, I would pick them up and read them. Problem is sticking them amidst some absolutely unmissable classics with no controls to skip books; paints all of the anthology with the same poor, racist, misogynistic, sadistic themes and leaves a bad taste in your mouth overall. A lot of readers/listeners who pick up collections such as these have no or little background knowledge as to the cultural relevances of the books - some may not even speak English as a first language; to then be faced with these particular examples might (and did) come as a shock.

The voice actor is one dimensional and inconsistent, favouring volume of work over quality, the recording has odd differences in quality and background noise (I think I heard a siren at one point) and there is at least one self reference to the voice actor’s own company snuck in in between chapters - so clearly not been edited by audible.

It really wouldn’t be too difficult to add sub chapter headings into the digital track to allow the listeners to seamlessly skip between books.

Decent, but messy.

Needs to be seperated by book, not chapters.
Better narrator, Taylor, while obviously trying, sadly doesnt do these classic works the justice they deserve.

Dated

These stories were suitablecfor 10 year old boys in the 1950s. No modern authors & no women. Worse, no way to tell where each starts and ends. Poor.

Not easy to use! It's simply useless difficult and

Not easy to read as it is too much to see all at once. Break it up and it will be better

The second book is about pirates

I'm sorry but this is a scam.
I was truly enjoying this collection of books. Until I heard that this was a Librevox Recordingsand that all Librevox Recordings are part of the public domain.
The reader is Mark F. Smith who did an excellent performance and vollentered his time and effort to make this production. If its mark from N. Carolina opting to monitise his work through Audible it it fine I guess but since the narrator is listed as Mathew Taylor I believe we're dealing with a shady third party.
If Audible would make the Librevox library available for her members for free...
