Great narrator
Tragic but also heartwarming. Contains domestic abuse. The narrator brilliant. Perhaps a bit too long.

Ok listen but not much of a story
Expected ended but the story wasn’t all
That interesting. Still an ok listen though - although the narrator pronounced several words quite strangely!

Highly recommended!
I loved this audiobook. It is brilliantly written and read. I am a single mum myself and I'm also a fan of Hebden and area so could really relate to much of the book.

Fynny and sad
Narrator is a little annoying which almost led me to return the book but glad I stuck with it

Well worth a listen
Enjoyed this, was warm and poignant. The narration was a bit clipped for my taste, leaving me less connected with the heroine than I would have liked. But well worth a listen

Trigger Warning Domestic Violence is mentioned
This is my first Linda Green book I've read and it was good. I love listening to the narrator Suzy Aitchison, so that is why I read it.
Single mum Jo with little tot Alfie was a lovely story about trusting someone with your heart again after her baby daddy walked out.
The 'Dan' character was lovely & listening to his chapters when he was a child was harrowing. I know the 'Dan' chapters will trigger many people who have gone through and witnessed Domestic Violence/Domestic Abuse. Saying that though I am still glad I listened to the book as it was funny in a lot of parts, so I would recommend a listen although it's not something that I would read/listen to again as it's not that type of book

Wonderful audiobook
This is such a wonderful story. Linda once again bringing out all the emotions.
A lot of it is comical , but with a tragic background story that slowly gets revealed.
Well narrated
