Shoot for the moon!
This audiobook was great to listen to while working from home. It was empowering to hear that you should be proud of who you are on the inside and the outside. I learnt that it is ok to let go of the past and embrace the future. The advice that stood out the most was to shoot for the moon, as then even if you miss, you will still have tried your best in anything you put your mind to. It's true that mums have a habit of being right!

Great Reminders!
The author has put together a great number of famous quotes from influential people like Einstein, Maya Angelou to Michelle Obama and then related them to her life while making a reminder for the audience which is so lovely!
The reminders I liked the most are , don't let people disrespect you, set the bar high and you will attract the right people. Also loved this one...it is ok to say NO!! Saying no is something I struggle with whether that's to my family, friends or colleagues..needed to hear that!

Great short listen
Although I’m not 21, I’m 23, I found this audiobook so useful. There were alot great wisdom sayings which my momma did teach me and some which she didn’t. Two things in particular which my momma did teach me were being open to new ideas and having a financial plan.

there are some excellent inspirational quotes in this book , if we all listened to our mums when we were younger we'd all be much wiser , I was a rebel without a cause ,where in this book I should have been a rebel with a cause. make mistakes, its OK, life isn't always perfect. some excellent tips on marriage and lots more. I'm wiser just for listening

Cute book of life lessons
I love books about sharing what we learn in life with others. This one is no exception. It's a cute but profound reminder of everything that matters in life. I particularly enjoyed the chapters about navigating fear, learning from mistakes, dealing with toxic people, acceptance and compassion, taking risks, and finding love.

A little powerhouse
This little book is packed with inspiration and wisdom. It was a joy to listen to the many home truths which are so often overlooked. The author has a sense of humour and this shines through especially when she relays the many lessons her mother taught her. She complements it with powerful quotes from various personalities - a truly inspirational text.
Highly recommended.
