Sergeant Lindsay Boxer's friend and former partner is brutally murdered in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
Homicide detective Lindsay Boxer knows her way around a crime scene.

A top detective until the end, Jacobi managed to leave Lindsay a clue.
Following a trail of evidence across the country, the Women's Murder Club pledges to avenge Jacobi's death before the killer can take another one of their own.

Another cracking book
Fantastic as always, written so well, narrative brilliant as always also. absolutely great book, a shock. humour, sadness, love all the characters. Bit gruesome in one bit, but overall story yet another success for a book on the women's murder club. can't wait for 26! Thank you.

As usual, brilliant
Loved hearing the characters again. I only wish the story had gone on longer. The end of the main story line was slightly quicker than I’d expected but I still loved it

Sloppy
I really enjoyed all the previous books, this one is sloppy as if a few good strands were begun, not explored and wrapped up quickly as if they want the book to stay within the 7 hour mark. The courtroom opening argument repeated verbatim twice didn’t add to the enjoyment. Could have been a really good book with a modicum of effort.
