About this listen

Did you know that heaven keeps a prisoner? You'll get to meet him soon.

Or that the grim reaper's scythe isn't there to harvest you? It's really to protect you against something on your journey.

I still don't think that's as bad as the time I threw a suicide watching party, or when my sex doll wouldn't stop crying though. Then there was that road trip where we saw the same hitchhiker at every stop for the last hundred miles....

This is a huge collection of 52 psychological horror and supernatural horror stories, the second volume to the Amazon best-selling horror collection, 51 Sleepless Nights.

Inside, you'll find stories about:

  • Angels and demons
  • Serial killers and assassins
  • Aliens and monsters
  • Undead and mad experiments
  • Supernatural and paranormal horror
  • An angry midget dressing up as a little girl to catch pedophiles (Why not?)
  • And so much more!

Some real gems

I love horror short stories. I've never really liked slow drawn out horror as I think something is lost in the padding, so these bite sized pieces are perfect. Some real gems amongst these, particularly the 'that could really happen ' stories involving everyday people. I listened to some of them with growing dread as the horror unfolded. Only deducted one star for narration because although I got used to the narrator he was quite wooden with very little inflection. Off to buy another Tobias Wade.

Unique short stories.

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first experience of this author. I'll be honest, I almost abandoned it because the narrator sounded just like the guy who does River Monsters and I couldn't concentrate on the stories! I'm glad I persevered though. I wouldn't say they'll keep me up at night and I probably wouldn't quite label them horror. BUT they are well written and interesting and unique stories. I'll repeat unique - it's hard to do within this very saturated genre. The author clearly has quite an imagination. I love short stories but am curious to see how his ideas would translate to a full length novel.

Thanks for the opportunity to listen & review. Will look out for more.
