Summary

The time is right to learn what really happened on 9/11.

The time is right to unearth what has been deliberately withheld from the public.

Nearly 20 years ago, on 11 September 2001, four passenger aircraft were hijacked and flown into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon near Washington and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people were killed. The narrative in the weeks and months that followed seemed straightforward: the attacks had been masterminded by al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, an embittered terrorist with an abiding hatred of the West. But, as the 20-year anniversary approaches, that neat explanation still fails to answer some important questions surrounding that fateful day.

How did World Trade Center Building, 7-100 yards from the Twin Towers - collapse so quickly and symmetrically when it had not been hit?

How could two rogue aircraft bring down three towers?

Did the US government help orchestrate the attacks as an 'inside job'?

9/11: The Conspiracy Theories seeks the truth - not only of what we do know about 9/11 but also what has been intentionally hidden from us. Researching these stories with the help of strong first-person reporting and an in-depth examination of documentation released under freedom-of-information protocols, this book sheds new light on one of history's most tragic and troubling episodes, which shattered for ever the myth of America as a country immune to international terrorism.

An interesting history

If you are interested in 9/11, this book is very even handed in explaining everything that happened and addressing the conspiracy theories, without giving in to any crazy nonsense that still circulates about this tragic event.

Don't let the title put you off

I really liked this book and how the author didn't disrespect all the victims. Rather he went through what is known and all the conspiracy surrounding the 9/11. I also agree with the author in that there was no involvement in the planning of this. Rather the CIA pushing out the FBI as they wanted control but had no right to it as it's the FBI job. So many FBI unit's throughout America reported on several different instances of the suspicious behaviour of all of the terrorists.

Thorough and balanced

I found this book insightful and fascinating. Work like this is a powerful counterbalance to attention seeking conspiracy theories as well as official obsfucation.

Full of info but I still have questions.

I've dipped into 9/11 stuff back and forth and hadn't heard some of what was in here. Really interesting but when coming at both directions of the conspiracy then there is still a linchpin missing that was never addressed.

The performance was well-paced and very clear to listen to but very campy. Sort of Julian Clary lite, felt hard to take it seriously.

Okay, but nothing new

A summary of the known conspiracies regarding 9/11 with a lot of fluff and over expanded sections for no real reason.

Narration is ok, you get used to the voice quickly. The inclusion of actual recordings when applicable is a nice touch.

Makes you wonder !

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this book really makes me wonder if the official story is completely correct.
It seems that too many clues as to what was to happen on September 11, were missed intentionally in order to protect hidden interests.
