About this listen

On September 11th 2001 British TV documentary filmmaker Paul Berriff was in New York shooting a series for the Discovery Network. As soon as the first plane hit the World Trade Center he and his team rushed to the scene. Paul was soon alongside the FDNY's Assistant chief Fire Commissioner who was setting up the incident command post immediately below the South Tower. Twenty minutes later the South Tower collapsed on them.

While attempting to outrun the following tsunami of debris Paul was knocked unconscious for 25 minutes. Before regaining consciousness the North Tower came down on him too. He is the only Brit to survive the collapse of both towers. This is a compelling and dramatic story complete with minute-by-minute events of that day and beyond. It follows Paul and his film team, his family and their cat Muffin. A truly historic and personal story featuring all the major players of that fateful day.

This is a fascinating incite into the tragic events of 9/11 told by award winning filmmaker Paul Berriff who was there when the towers were hit. It’s a very moving story which I would highly recommend.
