Summary
Magic awakens. Darkness stirs. The Wraith Lord hunts.
The war raging in the South seems a remote danger for 17-year-old Diamond Gillon, until her home is brutally attacked. Catapulted into a terrifying new existence, where legendary beasts arise, magic is condemned, and half-blood fae like her have no rights, Diamond is inexplicably drawn to Commander Hugo Casimir. But he is a ruthless elite guard owned by a cruel, immortal fae queen who murders her own people for magic.
A prisoner in Hugo’s world, Diamond’s circumstances become ever more perilous; for the Queen covets more than just magic. Diamond must escape - before her fate, and that of the Eight Kingdoms, is sealed in shadow and chaos.
When her life hangs in the balance, will Hugo prove to be her friend and ally or an enemy unworthy of her heart?
A Bond of Venom and Magic is the first installment in this breathtaking four-book romantic fantasy series. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black. Hold on to your heart, dive in, and be swept away in this spectacular epic sword and sorcery adventure. This book is for those who enjoy upper YA high fantasy tales.
Warning: This full-length novel is not a stand-alone. It contains some mild cursing and sexual content.

I love love love this story
This is a fantastic fantasy series! I read the entire series about a year ago and didn’t even realize that’s what I was downloading when I got the audible. I was so excited to revisit it! The narrator did a great job. Sometimes I didn’t love her interpretation of really emotional moments, but it’s 1000 better than the robotlike narrators that are so common. I love this book and highly recommend it!

High Fantasy
I would recommend this book to those who love high fantasy and don't mind some violence.
We jump in straight into the action and the suspense and tension from then on is up and down. The author has you biting your nails to find out what is going to happen to Diamond and you wonder who the other characters are and wha their agenda is. There is a twist at the end I did not see coming and the narrator did have me in tears for one scene.
I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to listen to the second book in the series when it comes out.

Wow
Let’s start with the narration wow what an awesome and amazing job Siobhan did. I love it when the narrator changes their voice for the different characters and she was just a pleasure to listen too. Definitely the right narrator for this book.
As for the book holy smokes Karen certainly bought us a new take on the fae. Hugo and Diamond are characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. Jack is also another loveable character and one who I thought was kind turned out to be not so nice after all. The two leads Hugo and Diamond are from two different upbringings and are certainly two very different fae/people than those around them. They endure some of the harshest of trials and it’s only just starting. With twists and turns galore this book will have you enthralled from the start to the finish and leave you wanting more.

A bond of vemon and magic
This is the first book in set of books. Full of action, danger, magic, dangon, love, heart break and betrayals. Diamond has a hard life being half fae but this is nothing compared to how her world is turns upside down when she is attacked. Luckily a queen's guard on portal helps saves her but from this point on things get more dangers. Hugo can't help the pull he feels towards her but this will cost them both. Definitely a good read as I have read the set and I enjoyed being able to listen too.
