About this listen
Guthrie, Oklahoma, 1912. Priscilla Cochran intends to prove to the world she is a grown-up woman, able to take care of herself. She accepts a job as a teacher in Dogtown, Colorado, where the man who hired her thinks she is a woman of "mature years".
Mitch Beaumont is tired of young women who come to Dogtown and leave in tears because it is not a built-up city with entertainment a young woman would want. He has finally secured a teacher for the town who has assured him she is a middle-aged spinster and will be able to last through the hard winters.
Then 20-year-old Priscilla steps off the mail coach and falls at his feet in the mud.

Sweet Romantic
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
When I first saw this audiobook, I wasn’t sure if I would like it as I’ve read so many romantic stories in my teens they all merged into one with the same old plot, but as I’m huge sucker for Christmas, it’s my favourite time of year so I thought why not. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not one for writing spoilers so forgive me if I don’t write about the story, I will say that this book suck me straight away, with me saying ‘you go girl!' Show him who the boss lol. By the end of the book I had that warm fuzzy feeling, so much so that I listened again straight after. If your looking for a short story to keep you warm on a cold winter night then this is the book fo you.
