Summary

Queen of paranormal romantic comedy Molly Harper delivers love and laughter in this magnificent series finale - available in audio first!

Eva Boudreaux keeps the truth about her life before arriving in Mystic Bayou a carefully guarded secret, flying under the radar as a talented boat mechanic. In the swampy little town filled with powerful supernatural beings, Eva never expected to strike up a charged flirtation with one of the Bayou’s human residents.

Alex Lancaster is far too polished for Eva’s taste - not to mention the danger that comes with his high-ranking position in the League, which could expose her secrets. Trouble is, she can’t resist his disarming sense of humor or the chemistry that crackles to life whenever he’s near. Will Alex be able to handle a woman like her? Or will her difficult past keep them apart?

Either way, they’ll need to join forces to solve one final mystery in Mystic Bayou. The fate of the town - and their hearts - depends upon it.

My favourite in the series

I commend the narrators in juggling so many character voices, and the author for a great series. This book has an insane amount of depth to it. From challenges in love, life and career to family. A really fascinating read.

Sorry to see the series end.

In the last book we were introduced to Eva and for the last few books we have been getting to know Alex, this book is their story but it is also the end of a fantastic series that will have your heart in your mouth and had me not wanting it to end, I have become very attached to Mystic Bayou and its diverse residents.

Full of Molly Harper's trademark humour this book does not disappoint in any way. There is still action, romance, comedy, nail biting moments - one final mystery unveils, big changes are on the horizon and as usual the fate of the town depends on the core characters we have to love. A fantastic finale, now I am off to find some more Molly Harper books, and more of read by Jonathan Davis and Amanda Ronconi who have made listening to this series such a pleasure.

A sad farewell to a charming series

The worst thing about the Mystic Bayou series is that it makes you want to move there, but you can't. Great romantic escapism, and you always get a happy ending. I like the way each story is complete in itself, but they all weave together into this finale. Every main character is now happily paired off, which provides a good sense of closure. Though if Molly Harper were ever to add more stories it'd still work.

Still in love

Still in love with this town and everyone in it.
And slightly sad if this really is the last one in the series.
But I think it's a good point to stop.
Everyone is happy and has found a home.
And we are about to have a baby boom 💜

loved the whole series.

Different to anything I've listened to before, very enjoyable and especially great as they were all included free with membership. I liked the continuity of characters in each book .. Worth a listen.
