About this listen
With so many depending on her, she has no time for a personal life....
When her husband left her pregnant, with a four-year-old child and a restaurant on the verge of bankruptcy, the only things Holly McGinty had time for were her kids - and working hard to stay out of the poor house. Five years later, business is booming and her boys are happy, but she's still putting her own needs at the bottom of her priority list. That doesn't stop her from daydreaming about her oldest son's sexy scout leader, though.
He never believed in love at first sight - until he met her....
Sam Jensen gets along great with kids, is a successful architect, and has the best friends a guy could ask for. But figuring out relationships with women has never come easy to him. He feels like a tongue-tied teenager around most of them. Except for Holly, and it's looking like things might work out with her. As long as one tiny little secret remains a secret.

A Hero For Holly
"MYSTERY? ROMANCE? MAYBE BOTH"
This is my 1st book I've listened to written by Kristy K. James and it's from her "The Coach's Boys Series" it's called "A Hero for Holly." I eventually began to enjoy the book although in the beginning, it seem to been going in a whole different direction from what I gathered from the title. I didn't know if I stumbled onto a mystery, suspense, or thriller, suspense, romance, just wasn't quite sure. As it moved on further into the 2nd chapter I was able to understand more about the book and began to get a better feel about it.
Ms. James did have two main storylines going on in this book. I assume one will play out through each book in the series. The mystery of that is proving to be very interesting that has to do with the Coach and the second story will surround one of the boys from his coaching days.
I had a lot of appreciate that single parenting, business owner and homeowner was portrayed. The book may fictional but the accomplishments can be real.
The narrator Daniela Acitelli is another 1st for me. She did a pretty decent job with the various of characters she emulated throughout the book. She did a very fine job especially; when it came to the male voices, I really have to give her credit for that.
This is Book 2 of the series and I'm moving onto listen to Book 3.

A Very Sweet Romance!
A very sweet, almost perfect romance. Holly is a single mom and business owner. She has not had it easy and has reached the point where she assumes her time for love and romance has passed. To be honest, she has just enough time to run her restaurant and look after her boys.
Then there is Sam. He is just about perfect. He is reserved and shy but completely dedicated to Holly and her boys. He just has to figure out how he can transition from being the boys' scout leader to being a part of the family. Love has its ways!
I enjoyed this story. It is big on sweetness and the feel-good factor. The series is about a group of friends who, in their childhood, shared a coach. Their friendship has grown into a deep abiding love and support for each other and their coach. The thread that ties the series together is more than their friendship, but also a threat to their beloved coach. That storyline progresses in this book and the mystery heightens a bit more.
I am looking forward to other stories in the series. Daniela Acitelli does a great job narrating this story. she manages to capture the essence of the budding romance between the two protagonists.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

A loving story that pulls you in.
A moving story of a divorced mother with 2 young boys meeting and falling for a man. They seem well suited and he is everything she has been looking for. The boys fall in love with him and are desperate to have him as their daddy. Unfortunately, he has kept his age quiet as he is 7 years her junior. They go through the drama of a break up. The heart rending sobs of the boys really got to me as I was so obsorbed in the story. I am very pleased to say there is a happy ending. It is well worth listening to it.
