About this listen

Do you feel like anxiety is making your life smaller? Are you always worried about the next panic attack? Or are you so stressed that you can't remember when you last felt peaceful and happy?

What if there was a simple solution that meant you could stop coping, and start living?

For more than 20 years, Nicola Bird experienced anxiety and panic attacks, sometimes so severely she couldn't leave the house. She tried everything, including medication, psychiatric counselling, yoga, and NLP. Then she stumbled upon a completely different way of understanding the human mind that changed her relationship with anxiety forever.

In A Little Peace of Mind, Nicola opens up about her own experiences and shares simple ideas to help you realise your own innate mental health and well-being.

At the heart of this understanding, you'll discover the peace of mind that has been eluding you all this time.

Critic reviews

"Nicola Bird is a force of nature - a gentle but powerful rain shower of wisdom and insight, helping us wash away our anxious thinking and rediscover the peace of mind at the heart of who and what we really are." (Michael Neill, best-selling author of The Inside-Out Revolution and The Space Within)

"What a relief! Anxiety is not a problem to be fixed but a normal human feeling to be understood. And how comforting to realize that anyone can gain a healthy relationship to anxiety by simply realizing the new understanding presented in this book." (Dicken Bettinger, Ed.D., retired licensed clinical psychologist and co-author of Coming Home)

"In her down-to-earth and laugh-out-loud style, Nic explores the fundamental shift in understanding that dissolved the limits of her own life, and the lives of thousands of her clients. She is an exceptional force of honesty and love, and her teaching and writing are a gift to us all." (Clare Dimond, author of Real: The Inside-out Guide to Being Yourself and Free: The Inside-out Guide to Life, Unlimited)

Insightful book

If you are suffering from anxiety this book is will give you insight into your own relationship with yourself and how much the fear of your own fear dominates your world. Spoken in a empathetic way with no techno jargon.
There are free podcasts and videos to help you further your understanding.
A liberating read for those willing to take this journey with Nichola.

Not Very Helpful

As someone with full blown agoraphobia for 6 years and PTSD I found nothing helpful about this book.
It just mentions how we have mental health and that our thoughts are not us. But that is basic mindfulness. To me, it seems like a bit of a selling tactic to purchase the programs online ( in a subtle non pushy way) as it's really difficult to grasp the concept of the book without further info in the form of courses.
It's again, really unfortunate that I got nothing from this book as it was really promising.
