About this listen
A peaceful cricket match on a warm summer's day turns to murder and mystery, as the star player, Aaron Decker, lies dead in his bed, his girlfriend sleeping soundly beside him.
The case takes on a new twist with links to the disappearance of a German U-boat and a British warship in 1945. With the mysterious Aegis Institute hovering in the background of the investigation, DI Andy Ross and his team find themselves in their most complex case to date.
With events in Britain, Germany, the USA and a secret submarine base in Canada all involved, Ross and his team need to work together with international law enforcement agencies and a respected German historian to not only solve the murder of Aaron Decker, but the strange case of U3000's last voyage.

Intriguing story
Well written novel with an intriguing story that maintained momentum throughout, largely by the skillful employment of dialogue.
The inclusion of so much detail about the sex lives of the two leading characters entirely unnecessary. The GP wife of one of these seems to do nothing else but wait around at home in her negligee to pander to his every need, when in fact she would have some very difficult times and be exhausted too. Because of this gratuitousness I probably won't read any more in the series.

What a waste!
Really excellent story ruined by an appalling author. I can’t believe anyone let this be published. I don’t expect literary genius but this was below the standard of an average 15 yr old. To go through the problems would require an essay. Save time and irritation and avoid. Also, there is one H in aitch look in a dictionary and to mispronounce Cunard is a bit unforgivable.
