A Monster's Treasure
In a dystopian, big brother world, Clara finds herself in trouble and given two options, go to the Kadraxians who look like demons, or go to Utopia. Since no-one was ever heard from again once they went to Utopia, Clara chose the Kadraxians and discovered that she had a mate, Krxare. As they get to know each other Clara realizes that she feels at home with Krxare and wants to stay. When she discovers that her brother has gone missing she knows that the safest option for the stronghold is for her to go back to the colony to find out what happened, even though she has to lie to Krxare in order to do so. When he realizes what she has done, there is no stopping the Kadraxian warrior as he goes looking for his mate and woebetide anyone who gets in his way. I love the start of this series and the narration. Jam-packed with lots of drama, this is certainly a captivating story and I can't wait to read the next in the series.
