As an evangelical, I have laboured for 50 years under a performative obligation to "support Israel" uncritically. This seminal survey has shown me the roots of that cultural inheritance and provided options as how more faithfully to fulfil my calling to love Jews and Muslims alike and to pray and work for reconciliation and peace.

Here in 2024 we are not suffering from 'demonised' Arabs, not 'lionised' Israelites. So when this gets discussed in 13. American Christian Zionist Activities and Organizations, it's not correct, neither is the unspiritual way that proselytising and other biblical Christian atitudes are discussed.
Best this kind of academic stays away from the spiritual weight for those of us who follow biblical precepts. The Spirit is moving all the time, as are the demons in charge of the antisemites. so none of it can be set down in concrete, and an awful lot of secular misunderstanding, keeps changing shape also.
