About this listen
Sarah Yates is a thirty-something history teacher, divorced, disillusioned and desperate to have more excitement in her life. Then one evening the doorbell rings and the handsome and mysterious John Needler brings more excitement than Sarah could ever have imagined.
John wants Sarah to go back in time trying to make sure people find their happy endings. The question is, will she ever be able to find hers?

an engaging time travel love story
really enjoyed it. historical facts made it more believable. Good narration, left wanting more.....sequel perhaps??

Far fetched but enjoyable
This book started really well and seemed very promising but then got more and more far fetched. Especially with the input from the 'powers that be'.
That being said it was enjoyable with a few funny moments so made a nice break from the norm.
The narration was good although some of the characters voices started to grate after a while. If the narrator had used her own voice all the way through it would have been a much easier listen.

Interesting take on time travel
A very different story of time travel. Narration acceptable. Easy listening, story winds up neatly at the end. Main character is immature and irritating but that was the author’s intent!
This appears to be the first in a series. I’m not keen on these so am unlikely to follow but if the author does a one-off I’d certainly consider it.

Good Story - Awful Accents
The story was quite good but the narrator spoilt it for me. Although her natural voice is lovely the accents were so bad I had to skip through the Yorkshire section because it irritated me so much. Might be worth the narrator taking a trip to Sheffield to see that accents have moved on a bit since the 18th century. I'm from York and could barely understand some of it. Other than that quite an interesting story with a bit of humour thrown in.
