About this listen
If you like watching Hallmark's Christmas movies, then you'll love listening to A Thrill of Hope.
Holly Kidman is determined to be the best movie producer California has ever seen...until her mother’s broken leg ruins Holly’s plans and she must return home for the holidays. During her stay in her home town of Timberland, Montana, fate throws her with a man she’d rather not be around. And yet, once she can get past old grudges, she realizes the charming man and his large ranch inspire her more than she thought possible. Dare she hope for her dream come true?
Rafe Montgomery is pleasantly surprised when Holly suddenly returns to town. Still haunted by the one, less-than-eloquent kiss they’d shared years ago, he’s disappointed by the haughty attitude she’s come back with. His hope is to change the stubborn and unforgiving woman he’s slowly having feelings for and to show her what Christmas is all about.

A Hallmark Movie in my mind
This time of year, I can get lost in a good Christmas story, and this one by Marie Higgins is the perfect escape. Holly was humiliated when she was 12 years old. Caught in a closet with Rafe Montgomery, receiving her first kiss, her reputation took a hit, leaving her vulnerable. Now years later, she is back home to help her mother when she bumps into the cause of her problems and a tingle arises! Grown up Rafe is nothing like his teenage self, and now as their feelings grow, her past needs to be faced. But what will become of them when Holly returns to her job in California? Will Rafe go with her? Will she miss Montana? Marie Higgins gives a heart warming story of love, forgiveness, and holiday spirit with a thread of suspense! It's a wonderful listen to get into the feeling of Christmas!
Sally Barron tells us the story with her fabulous narration! I enjoy her voices, her interpretation of each character and the way she uses her craft to tell the story. I felt like I was in the farmhouse in Montana, enjoying time with the Montgomery men, taking on the pageant and learning about life. She created the world that was easy to fall into and enjoy.

I enjoyed the narration of Sally Barron, see bought out, the romance and suspense, and action. Perfect
What can happen from an embarrassing kiss in a closet by the man you have a long tine crush on. Holly and Rafe find true love and the spirit of Christmas.
Problem is Holly wants to live in California , while Rafe wants to stay on the ranch in Montana. It is while separated that they figure out what is the most important in life to be happy. A romance that has danger, secrets, lies.
