About this listen
This series, written by Charlotte Unsworth, a prolific blogger on English literature and English teacher at Skipton Girls High School, will examine each of the 15 poems you are required to study across AQA's Love and Relationships poetry anthology for GCSE.
From Seamus Heaney's 'Follower' to Charlotte Mew's 'The Farmer's Bride', each poem will be fully examined, looking at structure, form and language so that you will gain an in-depth understanding of all the aspects that you need to study.
Each poem is recited before the analysis so that it is fresh in your mind. Furthermore, we have additional podcasts setting out what you need to know for your GCSE English literature exam and techniques on how best to answer questions so that you will be fully prepared for your big day.
The Audiopi series have been designed to make the very best teachers available to all through a collection of engaging, curriculum-focused audio tutorials.

Factual error in chapter 1 re: Neutral Tones
These guides are well presented and have used this and others in the series to supplement kids’ revision on school run. Unfortunately there’s an error in chapter 1. The speaker claims “it’s useful to know that Hardy’s wife died before he wrote Neutral Tones”. Hardy’s wife actually died long after the poem was written. I’ve notified audiopi who have been very helpful and plan to flag up the mistake.
