Since the beginning of time, the two magicians Merlin and Morgana have been in competition with each other. Merlin uses supposed heroes and Morgana uses supposed villains to steer the fate of the world in their direction. It is a battle that has been raging for ages.

And it's now coming to an end.

When Morgana sends Gwynnifer to the Academy of the Villains everything changes. Gwyn makes friends with the villains in Morgana's service. Except that Gwyn doesn't find them evil at all. Neither the beast, nor the big bad wolf, nor Maleficent seem evil to Gwyn. She quickly realizes that she and her new friends are just pawns in the war between the two magicians.

Loved listening to this series. Gwen finds a globe and then wakes up to find herself trapped in it. But it's an academy inside the globe and she meets a group of students who are not normal students. They're villains from fairy tales and the headmaster isn't who he seems either. Gwen must solve the mystery and work out who her friends are. A great spin on fairy tales and Merlin. Loved it. I enjoyed the narration by sometimes the female author sounded a bit whispery. Other than that, it was fab. I received a free copy of this series from the author but the opinions expressed are my own.
