Summary
Um. Um. Um. Are you reading this? If you are, I need your help. I was at a party; I was running; I fell. And get this - this is the part you'll never believe - I fell down a rabbit hole. Like Alice in those old books. Except in those books, there wasn't blood everywhere. In those books, the characters weren't all male, attractive, and interested in me.
Forget everything you know about the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the March Hare.... This isn't Wonderland; this is Underland. Violence, sex, drugs, and magic...that's all there is in this place. There's me, Allison, and there are the men that want me, the enemies that hunt me, and the darkness that's quickly rolling in. And only I can stop it.
So if you're reading this, will you help me? Please. I just want to escape this place and go...home.
Allison's Adventures in Underland (book 1 of 3 in the Harem of Hearts series) - is a full-length reverse harem/new adult/dark romance novel, a gritty retelling of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Don't expect a children's tale; these characters are nothing like their more innocent counterparts. This book contains drugs, cursing, violence, sex...and love found in the darkest shadows.

F**king fantastic!!!
I really love this story SO much!!
Yeah, there's a lot of swearing and sexy stuff, so be warned, if that bothers you.
This dark re-telling of Alice in Wonderland is all I can think about, when thinking of Wonderland or Alice - no other adaptation can do for me anymore, because this version is just perfect!!

Just incredible!
The story, the narrators, everything about this book sweeps you away to another world that feel familiar but so different it blows your f*cking mind.
The tension and steam is pantie melting, and it's so beautifully written the you become immersed quickly and easily.

Great book, imaginative listen
Took a few chapters to get into it but then loved it! I won’t watch Alice in Wonderland the same again haha. Love CM Stunich and it was my first time reading a harem and I will certainly be back for more. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the ending though :(

Repetitive
I was intrigued by this book, especially as the reviews were good.
However the plot is awful, it's repetitive and the supposed tension is terrible.
Maybe it's me, but there is nothing sexy in this book and I'm open minded.
It just bored me and made me increase the speed.
The narrator's monotone voice grated on me as well. There was no change in dialogue. No emotions or description change in her voice.
Only my opinion though. You may love this book.

Not for me😓
This story was not very Well written. And feel very imature. There is so much potential in an Alice reverse Harem story, but this is not hitting the mark. An annoying heroin, and badly written dialog makes this a pass for me.

The next book will be better... I hope...
I liked it in the end.
Okay, so I may be comparing this adaption to the Eva Chase one. But I can't help it.
I found it hard to grasp what was happening in the beginning, and it's not the plot but the writing. There is one moment when she comes across naked guy, but the way it's written gives no indication he's naked and, therefore, why she's uncomfortable. Not for many sentences.
These slips make it hard to follow the story.
Besides that, the heroine, why does she have to be 18, the age of character is part of the back story, and she falls on being a hormonal teen as a reason for things. But I would have found it easier to grasp if she was a little older.
Towards the end, the story comes together more, and it kind of snaps into place. So, I am going to carry on with the series.
Who knows, maybe this was a writing style purposely vague in the beginning, so you get more invested as the world building comes together and I start to like characters more.
Weirdly, I don't really like Allison as a character... but maybe I'm just jealous of all the gorgeous men she's got around her 🤭

Not for me
I cannot pinpoint what bothers me, I just cannot get into it. I had to give up, which I hate doing.
