Ex-police officer, JJ Jenson, is a good man who has led a colourful but turbulent life. He’s seen death and destruction in its many forms. If you are a fan of M K Turners work, this has a very similar feel to the Little Compton mysteries. More quirky characters with genuine flaws and joys. A few twists and turns in this whodunnit tale. JJ is a likeable character and I look forward to his next adventure.

This is an excellent start to a new series from MK Turner. Plenty of quirky, well developed characters abound in a fast action story. JJ, an ex police officer who has left his previous life behind along with Davey, a news reporter he has known in the past work together to investigate a suspicious death that the police have decided is suicide. Edge of the seat and humorous in parts it is a very entertaining listen. Lee Beddow and Perdita Lawton Work well together to make a great job of the narration.

MK Turner has a way with words that keeps your mind ticking over. I have found myself sat outside the house in the car (I usually listen whilst driving!) waiting to get to the end of a chapter. The characters are Great. Lee and Perdita read the story so well you can picture them.

This story is set in a village and brings together JJ and Davie an ex Cop and an old adversary who helped him through a tough time. They join forces to solve the murder of Amber a young mother. If you love a good murder story, set in a village in England, then this will not disappoint. I loved it from the start to the brilliant ending. Can’t wait for the next JJ and Davie adventure…

The first in another series by one of my favourite author, M.K. Turner. This was a real pleasure to listen to with an interesting plot, a great collection of characters and the wonderful narration of Lee Beddow & Perdita Lawton. This one had me hooked from start to finish and I look forward to the next in this series.
