I thoroughly enjoyed this story- I did guess who the murderer was early on but I could have been wrong and continued to enjoy the tale.
Will definitely look out for the next book in the series

I love the sort it’s fun easy to listen to and I always want to know what happens next

The book is set at a fancy house party full of debutantes trying to land a husband but there was very little description of the house, the people, the dresses, the food... really anything that would give the characters some..character. Even the addition of a cure pug couldn't save it from being rather dull.

I enjoyed this story so much that I listened to it in one go while I was painting. I was intrigued enough to want to know 'who done it!'
I like the main characters and I found the performance fairly easy to listen to. I would quite happily listen to subsequent stories.

A bit predictable and not very believable honestly. Narration not great but okay enough to get through it. Glad I didn’t use a credit.

Two reasons for not continuing with this series: too drawn out, lacked atmosphere, not enough tension, either detective or personal, and the strident voice of narrator, kept having to reduce volume. Almost didn’t finish it…

The narration was ok and the story not bad. The historical detail was a bit odd and jarring in places but it engaged me to the end.
