About this listen

Paige has just touched the surface of the crimes of the Angel Syndicate , and there are more murders, lies and secrets still to be uncovered.

Paige helps Leo search for his mother, who has been missing since his father’s violent murder at the hands of a still unknown assailant. When they find his mother, they start to realize that all is not as it seems as she doesn’t remember anything from the night of her husband’s death.

Paige and Leo delve deeper into the mystery to find out who killed Ella Gold and Hugh Eckland. Their investigation leads them to decades of crimes, deception and threats as they put their own lives in danger to search for the truth. This book had me hooked from the first page! The layers of mystery and deceit kept me guessing the whole time. Paige and Leo’s journey is intense, and the stakes felt so real. I couldn’t put it down as they uncovered decades of lies and danger. The pacing was perfect, and every twist hit hard. If you’re into crime thrillers with strong characters and unpredictable turns, this one’s a must-read. I’m already excited for the next installment!

I am really enjoying the series. My recommendations are that you do need to start at book 1, I would not let the prologue put you off. I am getting invested in the two main characters and the ending was great, but it does leave you wanting more. So I would suggest having the books/audible all ready so that you can listen at your convenience.

I do like these as being short - there is a natural beginning, middle and conclusion and so if you have limited time this is good.

It has taken me a while to get used to the narration, being Australian living in England for 30 years, it is a different take on an English setting but you do get used to it.

I was given a free copy by the author but the review is entirely my own.

Continues the series and a good listen

This middle section of the story starts and ends with a bang. Great story with excellent characters. There are lots of twists and dead ends that did get a touch frustrating as there are very few answers to lots of questions. Narration is great but why an American narrator for a book set in England and with English characters, still this was a good quick listen and i have already stated book 3. I received a complimentary copy of the audio from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

Good second part of the story
