Summary

The apocalypse began on Bring Your Dog to Work Day.

One moment, everything was normal. Then the World Core woke up, and slaughtered almost everything alive so it could harvest their Chi.

After that, it rebuilt everything and put the survivors in a game-like environment, pitting them against monsters and each other.

The rules are different now. Chi power is as important as being able to fight.

I'm one of the survivors. With my knowledge of martial arts and my special Chi skill, I'm turning myself into a force to be reckoned with.

This is a Western cultivation fantasy adventure. It includes a definite sense of progression, an MC who isn't an idiot, and Gamelit/LitRPG elements.

A Man & His Dog Survive The End Of The World

It's a good story of a man and his dog surviving an Earth-is-Now-a-Game-World Apocalypse

Another Hit from Mr Porter

I picked up this book as a new release from an Author who I have enjoyed many other books from. Cultivation isn't something I normally read or understand well but it isn't so much of a focus to confuse or detract from the storytelling. I liked the cast of characters especially the MC's Dog as well as choice of non-standard races of the love interests. Narration was well done.
PS. Got so into the story I picked up Book 2 to read right after and it more than carries the torch to new heights.

A refreshing story

This was a spur of the moment books. I liked the cover. I know, but sometimes I get lucky. This was one of those times. The story held my interest and kept it going till the end.
The two narrators are new to me and I must say they did a great job of the book. I have to keep an eye out for their work in the future.
Now I have to wait for the next book, if it happens?
