I would have given the performance five stars if it wasn’t for the narrator’s hilariously bad pronunciation of Amiens. Other than that, it was decent.

The book is interesting, but I did get the feeling that the author was looking down her nose at the locals of the places she visited. I know this was more acceptable in this period, but it does get a bit annoying after a while.

An interesting insight into the 19th century western mindset
