Summary

Almost three years ago, a car crash took Audrey's dad and scarred her for life. Now 18, she returns to her hometown for the first time after the accident.

She's here to start again. Go to college and have fun. Make new friends. Get over the past. But the past won't let go.

Asher is here - her first kiss, her first heartbreak. More handsome and distant than ever, he's still the boy who used to be her best friend. That was before he changed into someone she hardly knows anymore - the boy who started getting into fights and gave her the cold shoulder for years.

Asher isn't what she needs. In fact, she hates him and should try her best to keep away from him.

Yet her body doesn't seem to care about how she feels, and maybe, just maybe this time her body got it right. Not that she has much of a choice. Asher draws her like a bright flame, and if she isn't careful, she'll burn.

And that may not be such a bad thing after all....

Standalone novel. No cliffhanger. Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature listeners only. Not intended for young listeners.

Perfect Narration

This tragic coming of age story covers dark territory of child abuse and death. The voices were excellent and sounded also like 18 year olds. I also listend to the prequel, Kiss me Goodbye which I advise - it set the stage very well for this book. I'm hooked for the rest of the series!

I loved it!

There’s a bleak sadness to Asher’s story that was truly heart wrenching at times. Asher (Inked Brotherhood Series #1) is a story of young love, harrowing secrets, and true heartwarming friendships. I highly recommend it.

Emotional

This is a very emotional story. Asher went through so much abuse by his dad. It is a sad, emotional and relatable story the is worth reading. I could actually hear the pain in Asher's voice as I listen and it brought tears to my eyes. Thumbs up to the narrators.

Book 1 is great

I loved this book, Asher and Audrey are meant to be. I’m now moving into book 2 Tyler, fingers crossed it’s just as good as Asher book 1. I would definitely recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great start to the series

Truly enjoyed the story. It was very emotional. I’m guessing since the rest of the series are of their friends, I’m looking forward for any updates on Asher & Audrey in the rest of the series. The narrators were really great also.

Emotional

I loved this story.
My heart broke for Asher. The poor lad couldn’t catch a break.

My only problem with this, was that sometimes, I couldn’t tell which character was talking because the narrator made some of them sound exactly the same. Even when changing to a different gender.
