Absolutely brilliant, amazing, - girl you make me wanna read more mafia/mobsters - and I don't DO that! Luca & Ford are phenomenal together! The details are kinda sketchy, but this group of guys, friends, FAMILY, is simply amazing. I love all of these characters - yes, even the 'bad guys', especially when they get what's comin' to 'em! - but Hopper's been my favorite since the firts book & I CAN'T WAIT til he & Liam get their own! Boy, that's gonna be a wild ride - as if this one wasn't wild enough! - and Kelly, seriously - a FLAK jacket?! lol! So, so SO GOOD! It wasn't an easy road they traveled to get to each other, but it was so worth it for the HEA they both so richly (rich lol) deserve! Keep up the fantastic work!

Declan Winters is phenomenal bringing these brilliant characters to life. The accents, pacing, emotion, passion, attitude - the growl & grit, Love it!! More from this narrator PLEASE!

MM, First Time, Friends to Lovers, Contemporary, Mafia/Billionaire, Romance. Best listened to in series order due to back story running through the entire series and the majority of the characters are in every book. A fantastic listen with lots of angst, drama, emotion, violence and steam and a group of friends that are family to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and am happy they got a guaranteed HEA.

Declan Winters has delivered another excellent performance on an exceptional book by Kelly Fox. Luca and Ford have a special place in my heart - the vulnerability, the love and possessiveness (not to mention the heat)? Simply amazing. This series is wonderful, filled with genuine emotion that comes through brilliantly through the wonderful narration. One of my favorite series ever.

The Narration :

Declan Winters gives a wonderful performance bringing to life these characters. He perfectly conveys the mobster personality of Luca as well as his soft and tender side when he’s with Ford.
He also conveys the vulnerabilities that lie within Ford and his hidden inner strengths.

The Story :

This is my favourite of the series so far. Luca has the whole ‘old world mobster” vibe going on but is making the effort to change is business model for the better. Ford is a virgin billionaire with a heart of gold and a head for numbers.

Together these two wonderful characters embark on a beautiful romance filled with snark, banter, super sweet balanced with lots of heat and plenty of major swoon moments. Of course it all leads to a well deserved HEA for them both.

I loved every moment of this hurt/comfort virgin/playboy romance and really enjoyed their found family from previous books making appearances. There’s a connection to the Rebel Sky ranch series and a nod to the Wrecked Guardians series but you can listen to this as a standalone but I’d recommend indulging yourself and listening to them all!

I was head over heels for Luca when I read the print book. But Declan Winters brings the man, with all his contradictions, to powerful life. Listening to this story is a symphony of emotion trickling right into the heart -centre.

Ford and Luca together are magic. Pure magic. When Luca calls Ford Little Bird or says Ford is a “dirty bird”, Winters puts so much emotion in the endearment; so swoony.

And although the older-virgin trope usually does nothing for me, Fox makes me make an exception to that rule! Following along as Ford falls for Luca is everything.

5 stars across the board.
