Loved it
I loved this book. I can’t wait to get into the next one.
Marcus is career driven and seems to be the grumpy boss until he meets Logan at a party and this man somehow charms him. But then he finds out Logan isn’t his name.
Gabe, a college dropout is working to get back to his dream when he meets a mysterious older man but to impress him, he gives him his boss’s name.
A MM Insta lust romance, forced proximity and age gap.
The spice was a 3.5/5.

Cliffhanger
This book was wonderful. The story, characters and narration were all on point. I hadn’t realised it was only book one. But I’m definitely going to be reading book two.

So good
I didn’t know what to expect going in i only listened as it’s on plus but wow i loved every minute of it . Gabe seduces Marcus St James but tells him a false name as he never expected to see him again but when he turns up a the lawyers he works at everything gets real. When his boss tells him to go make things right or not bother coming back to work Gabe agrees to do anything Marcus wants for a week . It was great watching Marcus and Gabe fall but neither of them expects feelings to take effect but Marcus won’t give in telling Gabe he’s not right for him but Gabe won’t give up . Loved it so much i went straight and bought book 2 i really need Marcus and Gabe to get their HEA.

Excellent story 👏👏👏
Oh my, I absolutely loved this beautiful story. The narration was epic and the story had me in a choke hold right through to the cliffhanger so I’m immediately buying book 2.

Enjoyable but forgettable
I listened to it while painting the shed, it kept me entertained while doing a really tedious and boring job. I enjoyed it, but not enough to make me spend a precious credit on the 2nd book unfortunately. Maybe I'll read the 2nd book instead, just to find out what happens, though I can pretty much guess.

Enjoyable steamy MM romance
The voices for the characters were truly excellent and, although the romantic connection was instant, I generally enjoyed the pace of the story.

Just ok
I loved the meet-cute, how they meshed together, the tension, and the swoon-worthy moments, it has so many great and entertaining things.
My issue is that it feels incomplete. And not in the "this is the first book of a series" incomplete but in general.
Their work feels fake, 90% of the extra characters move around them just to make the story go not because they have a life/wants/dreams etc of their own. Even the reason why they started the week deal is completely forgotten, the ending feels forced and there's nothing in this plot outside of the love story and it makes the book so one-dimensional.
It's one of those fun average books that you forget about a few days later.
