About this listen
Corruption Runs Deep, Before they die....
In 2006, an MP hoping to open an inquiry into a Westminster ring of paedophiles is murdered, and the original 1980s document which he has on a USB flash drive is stolen. In 2014, extracts of this document are sent to a publisher from an anonymous source, someone hoping to make a fast buck from the sale of the dossier.
The publisher is married to Malcolm Reeves, an MP who is trying to reopen the inquiry into child abuse by Establishment figures. Attempting to discover who has the dossier, the publisher hires Mike Halliday, a private investigator and ex-detective inspector from Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command.
At first, Halliday thinks of it as a straightforward case, but before long he finds himself on the trail of a hired killer whose identity is unknown, and who may have worked as an undercover detective, and whom Halliday suspects of working for the security services. Soon he finds himself plunged into a nightmare world controlled by powerful people who will stop at nothing to cover up these appalling crimes.
It's time to get hooked into a new thriller.

Excellent Listen.
This is an exciting, action packed listen from the very start. A flash drive containing evidence of paedaphilia in high places is the centre of a big hunt. There are cover ups and a murder to originally stop an MP exposing the dreadful secrets is only the start, many more people will die before this story reaches it's conclusion. Highly recommended. David Barry's narration of his own work is excellent, full of feeling and enthusiasm. I had doubts at first as there is really no attempt to provide different voices for the various characters but once the story gets going this becomes minimal and doesn't matter as the story is so good. Better not at all then done badly. A truly 5 star listen without a doubt.

Great listen a new author/narrator to me
This grabbed me as an audio book and I am so glad I did listen to it. The author is new to me and he also narrated it. This worked well. I was engrossed and so will be looking for more. The story itself is intense.

Fast Paced
Loved the narration of David Barry
This book is fasted paced thriller. Twists and shocks a plenty keep you glued to this unfolding mesh of scandal, intrigue and murder. Mike Halliday, is a private investigator to expose evil, who quickly realises he is in way too deep unless he can trust his instincts. Excellent characters and plot.
