About this listen
Water didn't flow right on Hidrin, not as it used to. It’s been like this for millennia. Rather than rest in basins or canyons, waters rise high into the sky to pierce clouds and race over continents. Bels, they are called. Mimicking the image of a yarn ball, they weave over and under one another, disrupting the already fractured view of the stars. Strange sights, but sights that people have grown comfortable and accustomed to.
As the fish learned to ride them, so too did humanity. From one end of a continent to another, humans used bels for transport, trade, and of course, warfare. Now waged with machines of once impossible mobility, there are few bodies of water on Hidrin that haven't seen conflict. And those that haven’t need only wait for the next war and their turn.
Unfortunately for Mint and her home of Vostoria, that turn had finally come. She just didn’t think they would be separate turns. As Vostoria becomes awash with combat, she finds herself swept elsewhere and with few options to get back. Whether the result of dumb luck, mere coincidence, or genuine fate, Mint’s course was set for both discovery and disaster.

A gripping listen
I got this is a review copy. this is a must-listen for any mecha fan with plenty of twists and turns I could stop listening to this book there is a second book coming in his bel world series.
the past of the world of the book is mysterious which is like as you don't always need to know the past of a setting in the first outing
the narration and voice acting in this are superb I sincerely hope that Talia Carver comes back for the next audiobook

What a journey !
The author Chris Cardenas totally amazed me with the opposite world he created ( not knowing if it’s a futuristic earth or a totally different planet ) with an unbelievable imagination, it’s also feels that the people of this world are living a simple un technological lifestyle unless you are in the military or the resistance which use knowledge of futuristic or antique robotic suits, some things on purpose or not are mysteriously unknown which are left for your imagination for now.
For a new author it’s amazing, living me hoping for a continuation, a series or a trilogy !
Excellent narration by Talia Carver which without a doubt was a great choice for the creation of this beautiful audiobook.

Great action packed story
This book was different that the usual scifi that I read/listen to in that its based around the sea which I dont think I have come across before. That being said it has large robots fighting so whats not to like :)
I really did enjoy this and I would read/listen to a sequel.
Please note I was provided with a copy of this to leave a non-bias review
