Patch and Stooch were the supreme leaders of a tiny planet in the C’Torgis galaxy until a fatal disaster propelled them into a place known as the Inter-Life.

Upon arrival, the brothers are delighted to learn that they can be reincarnated, but a lot less excited when they find out that they won’t be returned to their home world. Instead, they are offered the "next best thing" - a life on planet Earth.

And things only get worse from there.

When Stooch is reborn on Earth, he’s horrified to discover that Patch failed to make the trip with him. Refusing to stay separated, Stooch dedicates his new life to getting off the dreadful planet he’s wound up on and reuniting with his lost brother.

It’s a million to one shot, but the universe is on hand to help Stooch and Patch get the band back together. After all, these are the two idiots who are gonna save its sorry ass!

Inventive, Engrossing and Great Characters.

Combining Sci-Fi and funny, is a heady task for any storyteller, but here Mark Restuccia has done a great job.

This works particularly well in an audio format, and has echoes of the seminal Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy in both tone and execution in that regard.

Really enjoyed following the exploits of these two oddball characters and those they encounter.

More of Patch & Stooch soon please.

Too right it's the best!

I absolutely loved this book. It kept me company while I was walking my dog. After a few days I gave up trying to hide the crazy laughing and snorting - it was a battle I wasn't going to win. I don't know how it did it, but the book managed to not take itself seriously but also had quite a few deep moments - I really felt for Stooch growing up on Earth as an outsider.

The performances were flawless and the narration perfect. The deadpan delivery of the one-liners brought on most of my snorting (along with the strange looks from passers-by!)

I highly recommend Best in Galaxy. I can't help but think about it whenever I see kale - never said that about a book before!

Lo-fi sci-fi at it’s best!

I’ve been a fan of the Best in Galaxy podcast for years and was excited to learn a trilogy was being written based on it. This first book does not disappoint. The storyline is intriguing and sets things up nicely for the rest of the trilogy which I cannot wait to tuck into. The numerous characters are so varied and a joy to listen to - I’ve also read and enjoyed the paperback but this audiobook really brings them to life! You will love to hate some of them (Thee Mig) and just love others when you know you shouldn’t (Chopsy). The production and sound design are also top notch - all in all, a highly recommended listen ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Really loving this so far!

Came here from the excellent Best In Galaxy podcast and this audiobook does not disappoint. The layers of sound design are rich and brilliant, the performances are hilarious and the writing is first class. Shades of Douglas Adams and a healthy dollop of Star Wars. If you love comedy and/or sci-fi, absolutely get on this.

Very funny

Love it. Being a fan of the podcast that Mark and Patch have I was looking forward to listening to this and it met my expectations and then exceeded them. It takes parts of the story that they ran over several seasons of the podcast and turns it in to a more compact and understandable thread. The characters and voices are fantastic and the sound effects just add even more to it. Great stuff!

Breath of fresh air

Funny, sarky, nerdy, and warm hearted. He puts a spin on the old classics, revives the old times with his jokes - all topped off with the care and love put in by a gorgeous cast.

Hilarious Sci-fi Romp

This came recommended to to me and while this isn't my usual genre to read or listen to, I gave it a go and wasn't disappointed.

The comedic timing and dead pan delivery in some of the lines was pure genius. Stooch and Patch literally flying around the galaxy causing all kinds of havoc and mayhem in their own style made for some real laugh out loud moments,

I won't give anything away, but if you want to get away from it all, stock up on PP3 batteries and WD-40 - seriously don't ask and stow away on the Rinse-Magoo and travel the universe with the dynamic duo.

PS If you have some free time, maybe try and teach Patch his left from his right :-)

Don't bother. Really

Possibly the biggest load of tosh I've ever tried to listen to. Inconsequential semi-stories without resolution, where there are nice ideas they're mentioned so briefly that they may as well not be there and the characters are flatter than a micron
