Ein Schullandheim Mitte der 1980er Jahre. Der zwölfjährige Gabriel und zwei seiner Mitschüler entdecken bei einer nächtlichen Entdeckungstour in einem verlassenen Haus eine Spielkonsole. Neugierig geworden testen sie das Videospiel darin aus, das den schaurigen Namen "LUZIFERs Dämonenreich" trägt. Unvermittelt werden die Jugendlichen in das Spiel hineingesogen und finden sich in einer Art Hölle wieder, aus der sie verzweifelt zu fliehen versuchen.

Jahrzehnte später stößt Zamorra, der Meister des Übersinnlichen, auf den ungeklärten Fall - und stößt unfreiwillig erneut das Tor zur Hölle auf ...
