Summary
One last job, and he's done for good...until two rookie agents ruin it all.
Don't miss the first action-packed novel in the Black Ghost Thriller series!
Bic Green, a.k.a. Black Ghost, is a world-class contract killer. Tormented by his inner demons, he clings to absolution from his evils by channeling his funds toward his goddaughter, Gracie, to help in her quest to cure cancer. In his final job, Bic plans each murder meticulously, creating elaborate ways to make each death look accidental.
No one suspects a thing until rookie FBI agents, Caroline Foxx and her partner Mack Maddox, stumble upon an unusual clue, a raw pork chop. They quickly begin to unravel the insidious plot. With billionaires dropping like flies and their superiors ordering them to stand down, they push forward until they find themselves deep in the crosshairs of the Black Ghost.
If you like David Baldacci's Will Robie, you will love Bic Green. Similar in style to masters like James Patterson, Freddie Villacci, Jr., is the up-and-coming author to read.

A brilliant listen
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this top notch thriller. I know people say fast paced books, this was one of them. It never let up and the most fun I read was how each person was assassinated. The story of how things started is original and flows perfectly through the pages. I’ll be reading more from this series and maybe other works from him.
Highly recommend

"That's enough to kill for."
Bic Green, a hit man known simply as Black Ghost, has a singular calling card: a pork chop bought at a specific butcher's shop and left with the victim and the words, 'It's pork chop eating time,' His lifetime of killings caused him no regret, the victims always were bad men, and deserved it. Until he was hired for one last, magnificently paid, job, to take out ten of the country's richest men in just twenty one days. This he proceeds to do in spectacularly ingenious ways. Two rookie FBI agents start to suspect a pattern and, despite opposition, try to find out who else might be targeted, and why? This book is a fast action kaleidoscope of threat, death, drugs, hacking and political intrigue and very dark, with just a tiny, tender thread of hope. Hey there are elements of humour in there also.
The narration of this violent story has to be slick and Scott Brick is superb, helping to bring the whole picture to life with his clear and well modulated reading and perfect pacing. He also gives separate voicings to all of the numerous protagonists: a masterful performance.
My thanks to the rights holder of Black Ghost, who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. Did I enjoy it? The relentless fast action is breathtaking, the murders bizarre and ingenious, the breadth of the political interference terrifying and characterization good. It is a thriller which seems to skim the surfaces between reality and laugh out loud fiction and will keep the reader riveted from start to conclusion. But 'enjoy' is not the right word: more like mesmerised, I think.

“Old MacGabriel had a gun. E-I-E-I-O”
Really enjoyed listening to this book. It’s a great story with lots of action and intrigue although I felt the romance was a little wedged in.
Really well narrated although I would have liked a little more distinction with the female voices.
I’m looking forward to hearing more from this series.
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.
