The bloated defense sector is out of control. 3). The “get rich quick” philosophy of US financial institutions is not serving industry and is at odds with the developing world which merely want to increase its industry/GDP. Perversely, the least-cost goal leads to offshoring of US manufacturing jobs and the hollowing out of home industries; the US domestic problems are very visible 2 decades later and elsewhere he even predicted a Trump-like figure would arise.
