Summary
Born into poverty and orphaned young, Daveth Blyd had one chance for success when his fighting prowess earned him a place in the Tangye city guard - a place he lost to false accusations of theft. Enjoyable Story
Enjoyable story that is well written with likeable characters and good world building. The narration is very good as well.

Sad this is produced by Dreamspinner Press
I didn't realize until the end of the book that this was produced by Dreamspinner Press. DSP has left authors unpaid and misappropriated authors royalties since 2018. I cannot understand how they are still in business. I haven't purchased a DSP book since then as I don't know if the author will be paid for their work.
I'm torn that I purchased this audio. it was a fantastic mm fantasy story with superb narration. I hope Kim Fielding gets paid the royalties for this sale
