Great for younger readers!
Book 2 of the Daley Buzz Mystery series. I have listened to this as a standalone after receiving the audiobook free of charge from the author in return for an honest review.
Sabrina’s psychic Miss Terri reveals some information about her missing sister. When Sabrina returns to find out more she finds out that Terri has been killed. She then teams up with her detective boyfriend to solve this mystery.
THE GOOD STUFF
This was a simple and light read. Nice to listen to when I wasn’t really paying too much attention.
It would be great for a young audience who are interested in mystery. It has a ‘Scooby Doo’ kind of feel to it.
The narrator was okay, (other than the fact she constantly said ‘Caramel’ wrong…) she kept the pace of the story quite well and really got into the story.
I like that this book series seems to have a key location where the characters meet up, the Daley Buzz coffee shop.
NOT MY CUP OF TEA
Sabrina wasn’t really a character that I related to. She annoyed me a little bit at times. Her boyfriend was quite likable but the only way that we knew he was her boyfriend was because she would constantly refer to him as such. The two didn’t actually seem to have much chemistry other than a detective/partner relationship.
Sabrina also had this incredible ability to tell people’s exact heights and ages when she met them. I found there to be a few too many characters that just seemed to appear and the characters knew about them a little more than I did, I don’t know if maybe they were introduced in the book before but I did find myself getting a little muddled with who she was actually talking to and why at times.
OVERALL RATING
This book was quite a nice read, it did drag on a little at times because the main character did get a little boring. I would highly recommend this for young teens who are just starting to get into mystery fiction however.

Excellent cozy mystery
An excellent cozy mystery, when Sabrina discovers the body of a local psychic she and her detective boyfriend begin an investigation. Well written story with some nice touches. I enjoyed the story with its small number of good strong suspects all with excellent motives, I felt the final reveal was a bit quick but that is me just being a bit picky. Narration was excellent with a good vocal performance. I received a complimentary copy from the narrator and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

A gentle cosy mystery
This is a gently paced cosy mystery. The death of a psychic leads to lots of suspects for Sabrina to investigate. It was quite a good mystery as I had no idea who the killer was until it was revealed near the end.
I like that there is a secondary mystery running through this series i.e. the disappearance of Sabrina's sister. This aspect has me completely hooked and I can't wait to read more to find out what happened to her.
I would like a little bit of romance in Sabrina's life. She does have a boyfriend but his character isn't developed and their relationship is not a source of drama or a plot point. He's kind of like a human equivalent of Google. She just asks him questions about the case and he answers her. I would like to see more happening between the pair.
This was a good book to read on a quiet day to myself and I enjoyed listening to the narration.
I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.
