About this listen
An adventurous young backpacker, captured and sold. A black market merchant who will stop at nothing to amass the power he craves. The one woman who can stop him before he destroys everything…
Haunted by memories of an op gone bad, former assassin Leine Basso travels to Bangkok in search of a missing backpacker. With help from an old contact, she discovers the man responsible for the girl’s disappearance is connected to a violent Hong Kong triad and is the linchpin of an extensive trafficking network—both animal and human.
Making enemies isn’t new for Leine, but making one in the triad is—she soon finds herself a prisoner on board a cargo ship headed for sub-Saharan Africa. To ensure her survival and to continue her hunt for the missing girl, she must join forces with Derek, an ivory poacher who promises to help her.
For a price.

Another action packed hit
Wow, loved this story. It made such a change for most of the story to be set in Africa instead of a big city setting. Where Leine has to not only fight bad guy but also contend with the native animals too.
This story sees Leine helping out an old friend from her past when her daughter disappears while backpacking in Thailand but things soon go wrong for both Leine and the missing girl. So Leine soon finds herself having to do something contrary to up training as an ex assassin and rely on the help of a stranger. Resulting a very good story that I really enjoyed and look forward to the next Leine Basso story so see what new adventures this author can come up with.
The narrator was very good and you could picture the Africa plains as she was describing them, not sure it would make me want to go there tho.
