About this listen
Amateur sleuths Geneva Pomolo and Iris Reeves are invited to the local high school by their young friend Suzie Orleans, who is rehearsing for a performance of Agatha Christie’s Murder at the Vicarage. From the moment they set foot on campus, Geneva senses mysterious things afoot. There’s the custodian who is using a vacuum cleaner that isn’t plugged into the wall. There’s the cafeteria worker who has recently inherited a large sum of money and worries she’s being defrauded. There’s the group of teenage boys who are exchanging scandalous pictures of an older woman.
When not one, but two murders take place on campus in the span of an hour, Geneva and Iris are thrust neck-deep into their most dizzying case yet. There is no shortage of suspects: a troubled juvenile with a fondness for alcohol...a belligerent Southern transplant with an explosive temper and a compassionate heart...an oily con artist who has devised a clever plan to take over a local resort...a sister of one of the victims who is enjoying her first taste of the good life....
When an innocent teenage girl is targeted, Geneva tangles with a culprit both cunning and ruthless. It will take all her considerable ingenuity to apprehend the killer before he or she strikes again. And with secrets flying thick and fast inside the school’s halls, things are about to get worse.

Nice story with rather large reveals at the end
I enjoyed this story, but was wondering why there seemed to be so many loose ends after the culprits were identified. A detailed series of surprise revelations explained by our lady sleuth were a complex and confusing way to end the piece. It felt a bit like a few chapters had to be left out for some reason.
However, the characters are fun and appealing, and I look forward to their further adventures.
The narrator was a splendid storyteller. I listened to this as an audiobook.
